Drut Technologies is a datacenter infrastructure startup building high-performance disaggregated GPU systems powered by PCIe over a photonic fabric for dynamic composability. Our platform integrates Co-Packaged Optical technology into the Drut Fabric Interface Card, uses Broadcom PEX-89000 and OpenBMC to enable low-latency interconnects and programmable telemetry over a photonic fabric.

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the development and integration of embedded software and hardware interfaces across our platform. This position will own the end-to-end platform enablement — from low-level board initialization to fabric connectivity and system telemetry. This role also involves leading the platform software team and working closely with the hardware development team. This role is considered a senior engineering leadership position. 

• Own the integration of OpenBMC with custom Drut hardware platforms
• Develop and maintain board support packages, including device trees, kernel configs, and bootloader settings
• Lead platform-level debugging for boot failures, PCIe bring-up and bus communication issues (I2C/SPI etc)
• Enable and validate telemetry, effecters, and sensors via Redfish/PLDM over MCTP
• Coordinate closely with system validation and fabric control to align firmware and platform diagnostics
• Manage PCIe topology validation, including switch configuration (Broadcom PEX-89000) and link diagnostics

• Strong C/C++, bootloader knowledge and scripting for embedded Linux
• Experience with Baseboard Management Controller on chips like Aspeed-Ast2500 using OpenBMC
• Ability to test and validate microcontrollers (eg PIC32CZ), sensors and memory across SPI, UART, I2C, etc.
•  Familiarity with PCIe Gen4/Gen5, retimers, and Broadcom PEX switch config
• Comfortable with bus-level protocols (SMBus/I2C/PMBus) and embedded interface debugging
• Experience with Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and sensor modeling
• Hardware bring-up and board diagnostics

• Experience in datacenter chassis, rack-scale infrastructure, or composable platforms
• Background with GPU platforms or accelerators like NVIDIA H100, AMD 300 series and Intel Gaudi
