Drut PRU 2500 High-Density PCIe Gen5 Chassis

The Photonic Resource Unit (PRU) 2500 is a high-density, PCIe Gen5-based chassis that sets a new standard for data center architecture. Built for businesses pushing the limits of AI, HPC, and financial computing, it delivers unmatched performance, efficiency, and flexibility — without overprovisioning or vendor lock-in.


Key features include:

  • High Device Density → Up to 12 PCIe devices, including support for 10 double-width GPUs.
  • Integrated Photonic Fabric → Two or four tFIC 2500 fabric cards, delivering up to 3.2 Tbps of Gen5 bandwidth.
  • Flexible I/O → Four dedicated rFIC slots (each up to 400G) for GPU-to-GPU communication, or alternate PCIe devices.
  • GPU & Device Compatibility → Multi-vendor, multi-generation GPUs and any PCIe device supported.
  • Dynamic Resource Management → Hot-swapping and real-time attach/detach for true workload agility.
  • Optimized Interconnects → User-controlled routing for tailored traffic flow between GPUs or devices.

  • PRU 2500 includes two or four tFIC 2500 fabric cards providing 1.6 or 3.2Tbps of fabric side PCIe bandwidth​
  • Four (4) additional slots are used for RDMA network cards for GPU to GPU over photonic fabric supporting 400G per card (4x100G or 2x200G) per rFIC​
  • Diagram shown with 8xDouble Width Gen 5 GPUs. Slots can be used for any PCIe device​
  • Four single width slots used for the rFIC can be used for single width PCIe devices​
  • Two tFICs can be used to provide bandwidth between slots​
  • Manipulate the traffic between GPUs flows – which is user controlled with optimized interconnects
